Frédéric Alvarez
Frédéric Alvarez studied film at Louis Lumière University in Lyon, music at the American School of Modern Music and at Schola Cantorum.
He composed the soundtrack of many documentaries and short films such as Women of virtue by Stéphanie Halfon - which competed at the Césars -; and feature films, such as Les Filles du Moyen-Âge and Louloute by Hubert Viel, and Giovanni Aloi’s The Third War, screened at Venice IFF. He also works on international films such as Abroad by American director Giovanni Fumu, and several films that are currently showing: In the Land of Brothers by Iranian directors Alireza Ghasemi and Raha Amirfazl, and Bhutanese director Pawo Choyning Dorji’s Four Days of Full Moon.
In 2022, he composed the score for Emmanuel Nicot’s Love According to Dalva, which competed at La Semaine de la Critique.
