LAND OF ASHES (CENIZA NEGRA), selected at the 2019 edition of La Semaine de la Critique, is the first feature film, developed during the 4th session of Next Step, by female director Sofía Quirós Ubeda. This poetic feature competed in a dozen international film festivals including Athens, Carthagena, Mumbai, Warsaw, Lima, Göteborg, Biarritz and won Best Film Award at the 2019 edition of the Costa Rica National Awards for Culture. It has been released in France on March 4, by Eurozoom distribution.
