L'Amour à la plage Love on the Beach

Cécile Ducrocq is currently developing her first feature Love on the Beach, a story borne out of her two interests: anthropology and romantic comedies. A young anthropologist meets a volunteer engineer somewhere in the Senegalese savannah, while studying the Dowayos, the happiest remote people in the world… thanks to very frequent sexual intercourse. Love on the Beach is a partially true romantic comedy, which toys with the rules of the genre: the protagonists as polar opposites, charm and seduction, arguments, crude manners and harsh realities. This film allows Cécile Ducrocq to question our relationship with the world, with others and with ourselves, through the prism of anthropology.
