Fasten
by Flurin Giger
A man, his wife and their special needs son arrive at a small village in the middle of nowhere, where they plan to spend a holiday. While on the outside, everyday routine dictates life, for the family it’s the end of the world. Behind the duplicitous facade, slowly a horrible truth reveals itself. The parents are willing to sacrifice their child on the altar of his own good: they will stop taking care of him…How far can someone go if the victims are their own loved ones?
In this project Flurin Giger keeps on investigating the idea of death. Fasten is meant to baffle and confuse the viewers by letting them come up with their own interpretation of the characters' journey, and inviting them to ponder on acceptance and the power of free will.
