Charles Tesson
Artistic director
As film critic, Charles Tesson wrote several important books on cinema and he is a senior lecturer in Film History and Aesthetics at La Sorbonne Nouvelle (paris III). He has wrote for many years for Les Cahiers du Cinéma, where he was the editor-in-chief from 1998 to 2003. He entered the Selection Committee of La Semaine de la Critique for the 49th and 50th editions, before becoming its Artistic Director in April 2011. He is also the President of the Aide aux Cinéma du Monde commission (CNC, French Institute) from 2016.

Thomas Baurez
After a prior experience in short and feature films production and distribution, Thomas chose to become a journalist and a film critic, activity he has taken up fully since 2004, collaborating first with Studio Magazine and afterwards with StudioCineLive.
Ava Cahen
Ava Cahen has been the artistic director of La Semaine de la Critique since the 61st edition (2022). In 2017, she co-founded the website frenchmania.fr, dedicated to French and Francophone cinema, and is still its co-chief editor. She has been a commentator on Canal +'s Le Cercle since 2014, and between 2021 and 2023, she took part in a number of Le Masque et La Plume programs on France Inter. She has published several books on cinema and series (Woody Allen, profession cynique, Cheforama, la gastronomie au cinéma, FrenchMania la revue, Game of Thrones, décodé). She regularly takes part in juries and workshops at international festivals such as Morelia IFF, Busan IFF, Reykjavik IFF, Xining IFF (First), Jerusalem IFF Workshop, Marrakech IFF Atlas Workshops and Sarajevo IFF.

Sandrine Marques
General editor of the Trois Couleurs magazine and manager of the MK2 editorial board for four years, Sandrine joined Le Monde in 2012. As film critic, she is presently involved in various schemes destined for screen education and contributes to La 7e Obsession magazine.
Nicolas Schaller
At the same time journalist, but also film and music critic at L'Obs, he collaborates with the monthly Lui and the broadcast Le Cercle on Canal+ Cinéma channel. Between 1999 and 2008 he worked for the cinema monthly Première and he officiated for such broadcasts as Le Grand Journal on Canal+ and Dimanche 2 Cinéma on France 2. He wrote in collaboration with Alexis Trosset the monograph Martin Scorsese, which was released in 2004 by Dark Star publishing.

Marie-Pauline Mollaret is a film critic for the magazines Bref, L'Avant-Scène Cinema and Ecran Noir. She works as programmer and is a member of the selection sommittees of Annecy International Animated Film Festival (End Studies Film) and the PIAFF - the Paris International Animation Film Festival (Young audience and experimental competition). In addition, she co-hosts Bulles de rêves program of Radio Libertaire dedicated to animation cinema and takes part of Les Couleurs de la toile movie club's organization at the parisian theater Les 3 Luxembourg. For the past 6 years, Marie-Pauline was on the short film selection committee of La Semaine de la Critique and became its coordinator in 2022.

A journalist and a film critic, Marie-Pauline Mollaret is the editor-in-chief of the web magazine EcranNoir.fr and a columnist for several specialised magazines, such as the monthly magazine L'Avant-scène Cinéma, and Bref, dedicated to short films. Marie-Pauline also works as a programmer and is a member of the selection committees of various festivals, including the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and the PIAFF - the Paris International Animation Film Festival.
