Not Istars Oscar nominee Julianne Moore. After her initial introduction she is seen only as a disembodied mouth who confesses her memories. Directed by Neil Jordan, it is based on the Samuel Beckett play of the same name, first immortalised by his muse and regular collaborator Billie Whitelaw in the early 1970s. Incredibly, Julianne Moore’s performance was performed in one continuous take but shot from different angles by the Oscar nominated Roger Pratt.
