1998 Selection

The Butcher has done some time in jail after beating tip the guy who tried to seduce his teenage daugh­ter. He leaves his daughter in an institution and moves to Lille suburbs with his mistress who carries his baby and her mother. She promised him a new life and a new butcher shop. She lied. It doesn't take long before he's overwhelmed by her constant nagging and pettiness... He finds a job as a watchman in an old people home. When his mistress humiliates him one time too many, he kills her baby, steals a gun and goes back to Paris. Penniless and lonely, he wants to find a job and some friends but he quickly understands that both things are very difficult to come by...
