Tokyo Pop
by Fran Rubel Kuzui
Wendy plays second fiddle in a corny rock band. Weary of New York she decides to try her luck in Japan as a friend who lives in Tokyo suggests to her. But there her friend is not present to meet her. Wendy has no money, her papers are not in order. She has to work as a hostess in a Japanese "Geisha bar". She's in up to her neck until one day she meets Hiro, a young Japanese rock musician. They produce their own group and after a series of misunderstandings fall in love with each other.
