Uchida Kenji

Born in 1972. He has studied cinema at San Francisco University. After completing his studies in 1998, he came back to Japan where he directed Weekend Blues, a film that he shot in video and that drew a lot of attention in 2003 at the Pia Film Festival, an important stepping stone for young independent Japanese talent in the last 25 years. Weekend Blues won two awards and got the PFF scho- larship which enabled him to make his first feature film.
