Tsai Ming-Liang

Born in 1957 in Malaysia

Tsai Ming-liang is a taiwanese director, screenwriter and producer. He graduated from the Drama and Cinema Department of the Chinese Cultural University of Taiwan and first worked as a theatrical producer and TV director. His seconde feature film, Vive l'amour won the Golden Lion (best picture) at the 1994 Venice Film Festival. In 2012, his short film Walker closed the 51st Semaine de la Critique.
