Journey Through a Body kicks off as the portrayal of a young artist : his daily life, his body and his music conveyed in visually striking, delicate touches on film. And though the camera is nothing if not the appendage of the director’s arm, eyes, of part of himself, Camille Degeye never indulges in artistic lyricism or exuberance. Upon being invaded by someone else, the tone changes and reveals something else, a shattering, violent failure to understand.
