Lina Chamie

A New York University graduate, she has a Master's degree in music (Manhattan School of Music). She worked at NY.U's Film Department for more than 10 years. Back in Brazil since 1994, she has directed many videos and the prize winning short film I Know That You Know. Tonic dominant, her first feature film, has received many awards. She was a film professor at the Federal University of São Carlos at the Department of Communication and Arts. She recently directed short films presented in the Brazil/Amazony exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. The Milky Way, her second feature film, has received the "Casa de America" prize at the Cine en Construcción in San Sebastián (Spain) in 2006.
