Nevine is the secondary school monitor we all dreamed of having: sensitive, sympathetic to her pupils. She is also a real film character, subtly burlesque and consistently out of step with her school routine « from 8 to 6 ». Based on her own experience, Cecilia de Arce’s film is kind-hearted although not naïve, with site-specific direction ("we adjusted quite a bit to the school’s architecture, labyrinthine and outdated, to frame out shots"), where good intentions, unrelentingly, bounce off reality and get lost in
prison-like frames.
